NAME: SUNY Diversity Abroad Honors Scholarship

AMOUNT: $2000

ELIGIBILITY: US citizens, permanent resident aliens, NY state residents; underrepresented and low-income categories

DEADLINE: Oct 5 for spring, March 1 for summer/fall

OTHER: Campuses may consider financial need and economic disadvantage as a diversity indicator, but applicants must also meet high academic standards.

NAME: Benjamin A Gilman International Scholarship

ELIGIBILITY: undergraduate attending institution with an active Phi Kappa Phi chapter, GPA of 3.75 or higher, have applied or been accepted to accredited study abroad program before scholarship deadline

NAME:  The Leakey Foundation’s Baldwin Fellowships for Students from Developing Countries

AMOUNT:  max $15,000 per year for two years

ELIGIBILITY:  citizenship in a developing country (includes all African countries)

OTHER:  This fellowship would cover the full cost of the 2 year program for a student to attend Turkana University College in Kenya and receive a MSc in Human Evolutionary Biology (which includes one semester and one summer at TBI’s field school). ELIGIBILITY: Attending a registered university in: The United States, Canada, Australia or The United Kingdom; GPA of 2.5 or above; previous course credit related to: environmental science, biology, engineering, film & art, law, international politics or chemistry; financial need.
